Endowment Fund
Planning a Future of Hope
“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare... to give you a future with hope.”
— Jeremiah 29:11
Its Purpose
The Covenant United Methodist Church Endowment Fund was established in 2022. Gifts to the Endowment Fund are invested through the Texas Methodist Foundation, and the earnings are available for use by the church to further our mission to nourish the community.
Donating to the Endowment is like planting a Tree. It will bear fruit for a long time.
ADDING A CODICIL TO YOUR WILL
Adding a codicil to your will is a great way to include the church in your planned giving. A sample codicil form is provided below.
THE USES OF THE FUND
Only the income generated by the corpus of the Fund will be distributed for use by the church. These distributions will be used to support programs and needs. Contributions can be designated or undesignated for specific purposes by the donor.
Giving
Gifts can take many forms, including cash, stocks, bonds, life insurance, real estate, IRAs, and other types of deferred gifts. By giving, the future activities of the church are funded by the gifts given today, thus leaving a living legacy to CUMC and its ministries.
We are seeds of the future for those who succeed us. We dream and envision and set things in motion. The fruition of our decisions will be known only to others whom we will not meet. We are called to partner in faith with those who have gone before us and to offer the best that we have to those who will follow. To make a gift to the Endowment Fund click the button below.
MANAGEMENT OF THE FUND
The Endowment Fund is managed by the Endowment Fund Ministry Group. This group will strictly comply with Endowment Fund Guidelines and will work closely with investment counselors and other advisors to assist in the professional management and investment of the Fund. For more information, please feel free to talk to one of the group members. Thank you for supporting our church’s future.
